Our trainers together possess over 40 years of grooming experience and have studied under a prominent master groomer. They hold a National Accreditation in Grooming and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, to ensure that individual student learning requirements are met.

Natalie West - Founder

After receiving a certification in professional dog grooming from a prominent Industry Master Groomer, Natalie has been a successful professional dog groomer for over twenty years and has been the proud owner of Doggy Dooz for the past 14 years, as well as a partner in Murphy's Paw for the last 3 years.  She possesses a National Accreditation in Dog Grooming and Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment and has coordinated many training courses at a number of TAFE Institutions throughout Victoria. This was the inspiration to establish Dog Diversity, a professional dog grooming training school whose mission is to provide a professional and positive training experience for student and animal. She has successfully produced two Professional step-by-step dog grooming DVDs which assist the home groomer and students with their studies.  Her passion, talent and drive to provide the industry with skillfully trained groomers has enabled Natalie to produce one of Victoria’s leading Dog Grooming Training Schools.

Rachael Hawkins

Rachael received her certification in professional dog grooming from a prominent industry Master Groomer. After establishing herself as a successful and professional groomer, she soon recognized her passion for training. Rachael also possesses a  National Dog Grooming Accreditation in Dog Grooming and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and a Bachelor of Business Communications Degree. She is currently the head professional dog grooming trainer for Dog Diversity and has previously taught Hydrobathing and Dog Grooming for Diploma of Animal Technology, Companion Animal Certificate, Animal Studies Certificate and Diploma in Vet Nursing at Victoria University TAFE.  She prides herself on her systematic, logical and positive training techniques which ensure that both dog and student enjoy their experience.

Maggie Gawart

During her eight year employment with Doggy Dooz, Maggie earned her Professional Dog Grooming Certificate.  She has also completed a Diploma in Animal Technology, National Dog Grooming Accreditation and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. After a number of years establishing herself as a talented professional dog groomer, Maggie discovered her passion for training people who want to start their grooming career. Her calm, positive manner and systematic approach to training has led her to become one of the top trainers at Dog Diversity.

Lisa Toskovski

Lisa has been a groomer at Doggy Dooz for over 8 years and also runs a successful home salon. Lisa is one of the most popular and most successful groomers at Doggy Dooz! She is dedicated to her craft, regularly attending expos and shows. She holds a Cert IV in Training and Assessment. Lisa has a passion for all creatures great and small and is a Wildlife Rescuer in her free time.
