About the course
Dog Diversity conducts a four week fully Nationally Accredited Dog Grooming Course in affiliation with Technical and Further Education (TAFE) institutes .
Why certification is important?
Currently Australia’s grooming industry is unregulated but processes are in place to raise the industry standard. Certifications in Professional Dog Grooming are becoming increasingly in demand and nationally recognised industry standard Certificate IV in Professional Dog Grooming qualification is currently being developed.
Recognition of study
Dog Diversity has developed a skill set of subjects that are taught within the Cert III in Companion Animal Services. This skill set of subjects will mean that you have an official nationally recognised Accreditation in Professional Dog Grooming within Australia.
Best of all, this skill set will be used towards achieving Certificate IV in Professional Dog Grooming Services that will be available in the near future.

There are 12 key subject areas you will learn and be assessed on. From basic dog care to detailed breed clips, all of the subjects highly practically based and will provide you with the skills and knowledge necessary to start your career as a professional dog groomer!
Assessment Requirements
Assessment for this course is Competency based assessment. This means that you MUST complete ALL forms of assessment in order to be deemed competent. Although the majority of the course is practically based and assessed, you will be required to write some theory based assessments. Written assessment may sound quite daunting to some students, however, we strive to provide a positive and stress free learning environment and will provide students with as much support as they need.
